62-chan's Challenge

62-chan's Challenge (６２号ちゃんの挑戦状 62-Gō-chan no chōsen-jō) is a short game first released by 62studio on June 2nd, 2020. It is named for and features the character 62-chan.

62-chan's Challenge is unique in many ways among 62studio's games. As of time of writing, it is the shortest game by this developer, being even shorter than Cow Girl Ending. It has the lowest proportion of explicit content, with just two H-scenes available. It is the only game thus far to have a H-scene with 62-chan. Finally, it has numerous ways for the player to die and receive a GAME OVER.

Unlike the other games, this one is not available on DLsite. It was originally made available through download links in two posts on 62studio's Ci-en, though these links were since been taken down. It was re-released on June 2nd, 2021 with additional content, though these links have also been taken down.

Story

There is no real story to speak of. The main character is a boy/young man with the default name of "Senpai" who arrives in a bizarre and also quite dangerous place.

Gameplay

Like the rest of 62studio's games, 62-chan's Challenge is a JRPG set in a 2D world, but unlike most other games it has no battles. Furthermore, while in other games it is difficult to get a GAME OVER, it is extremely easy to do that in this game.

The game world is fairly small in area. The player starts out in 62 Company, a building with two areas. After leaving this building, they can go west or east (or climb a ladder on the building, which leads to a GAME OVER). West is 62-chan's Mansion, which is initially locked, while to the east are grassy areas with many Fierce Dogs and a small town that consists of two areas.

A wide range of NPCs populate the world. Most of the human ones give the options of "Talk", "Hit" or "Do nothing". Choosing "Hit" will remove the NPC and level up the player, increasing their HP. The Succubus NPCs give these options as well, but choosing "Hit" will instead cause them to slap the player, dealing 300 damage. Some other NPCs in the game are the Fierce Dogs and Fierce Old Man, who pursue the player and cause 100 damage on contact.

First of all, it is very easy to get GAME OVERs in this game. Save frequently and in new save slots.

If the player wishes to skip straight to a H-scene, they can simply examine the shelf in the northwest corner of the first area and enter the code 5108. This will take them straight in front of 62-chan outside her mansion. However, the resulting H-scene will be pixelated. They can also enter the mansion and attempt the minigame there. If the player wishes to skip this minigame to get to another H-scene, they can examine the phone in the southeast corner and enter the code 595962, then talk to 62-chan.

If the player wishes to play normally, then do the following steps:

1. In the first area, talk to the NPC who looks like a king until he gives various options. Pick "Give a letter of resignation", which makes him give you 10000 muni and then disappear.
2. Leave the building and head east until you reach the town. It's a good idea to Hit a few of the NPCs along the way, to level up and gain more HP to better survive attacks.
3. Go to the white building in the first area of the town, where you can play slots. Talk to the succubus and buy 10 coins (this costs all of your muni), then use up all of these coins in any of the slots machines. Talk to the succubus again and pick "Let's go!", causing many succubi to appear and attack. The dark tile along the west wall is a safe spot from the succubi, so go here until the succubi disappear. You'll receive 500,000 coins.
